APRIL'S PRACTICE

Art as a form of introspective expression. Her philosophy speaks to life’s fluidity and natural tendency towards the comfort & safety of routine in an effort to merely survive rather than thrive. When one breaks free from primitive fear of the unknown they begin to grasp how much more vast our perception of reality can be.

“Creating things that beautifully display brokenness, entropy and erosion is counterintuitive because we've been taught to fix things by maintaining a perceived form of control and define this as "acceptable. Embrace the mistakes. They make us who we are: unique, creative and alive. This is where growth occurs”

Art is an incredible way to tap back into our body's intuitive response to the world if we are willing to take the risk, get honest, see the messes and the joys while having grace for the brokenness we all possess.
